Congradulations!

Yesterday I helped out in Act One, scene five. Extras contributed by helping moving tables, decorating, cleaning, acting and clean-up. This was one of the most important scenes in the whole play because it shows when Romeo and Juliet Fall in love. I think we sold it and everybody to came definitely contributed. A team effort was needed in order for everything to go smoothly and to be time efficient. To improve we could have a better plan and use less time. We would do this by more communication and more extras. I would like to congratulate everybody who acted and helped that scene go good.

Week Two Prop Post

This is the picture of the knife prop.

The retractable knife is one of the props for Act Three. This is being bought for the fight scenes from Amazon.com. The dimensions are 7 and one half inches by 1 inch wide. The blade part of the knife goes into the handle when it is pressure, making it realistic and painless. This is used in movies, plays and pranks. This will be used in two different scenes, fake blood will be used in one supplied by my partner. My other prop that I will supply is a cross on a chain or a rosary necklace. This is used for a prop in one of the church scenes to identify the pastor. My partner and I are still looking for more props and ideas for props. Email or comment on my blog. My email is 20004321@students.gpschools.org

Props Act 3 3-16-11

For props, we are working on fake blood for the fight seen.  This prop will be bought. We are working on a fundraiser for props and other needed materials. Some kind of fake dirt will be needed for the fight scene. A ring is given from Juliet to the nurse for Romeo when Juliet finds out that Romeo is banished. I think houses in Grosse Pointe will be useful for some scenes, such as a bathroom or a bedroom. South would be great for the fighting scenes. Also, we need a knife. Which we will make from Styrofoam or cardboard. Also, a diary will be borrowed from someone’s house. This should do it for Act three, but there is a good chance that we will change it.

Romeo and Juliet Job Post 3-13-11

I am part of the props committee for the Romeo and Juliet project. I am very excited to do something new similar to the lipdub. The way that we are doing the play makes in interesting for our job because its not like the original play. I think this will be a challenge because of the new idea. In order to do this I think the team will need teamwork, hard work, determination, creativity and good communication skills. This project should turn out great because of the people who are working on it. Each position seemed to be filled with someone who would fit the slot. Overall I'm excited for this project and the result.
